Default found a 93 si hatch and a 94 dx hatch.. which one?

found a 93 si hatch for $3500 and a 94 dx hatch for $3000. which is more beneficial? i was thinkin about runnin a ls turbo setup in the dx, but maybe leanin towards a b16 turbo in the si. am i thinkin right here? or should i just keep my teg boosted and spend me money on that instead? haha i want a quick, clean hatch as a new project. hmmm... what do you think, guys?

I like the Si hatches. From a performance point of view the 93 Si weighs around 2326 while the 94 Dx weighs around 2178.

For the quarter mile its only a little more than 1/10th of a second...theoretically

I would get the Si just because of the sunroof and all the other little dumb **** they have that the base models don't.

depends on what your intentions are. if you plan on having a 99% daily driver i'd go with the SI. although the DX is lighter.

I'd go with the DX, only because I think Si hatches look silly. the sunroof just looks way too out of place IMO. all the power options and 4 wheels disc brakes are nice though.

First, I'd look at which car (body) is in better condition. As mentioned, the DX will be lighter, and lack the comfy options that the SI has. Do you want more performance/lighter car, or more comfort=more weight?

I agree, I would go with whichever one is is the best shape. They both are pretty average price wise. I would go with the one thats in the best overall condition with the least miles if you plan on keeping it "stockish" for a while. If you plan on going straigh to swap try to use the one with the highest milage or worst running and use it to try and deal. imo.

i dont think it would be wise to buy the one of the 2 cars just because it has less miles, you probably wont have the motor for too long anyways. if i were you than i would get the si just because of the small things it comes with that the dx doesn't. also, if this car is going to be your daily driver than dont worry about an extra 200 lbs.

Get the SI for sure....omg if you want less weight. Why settle with a DX? ****! Go for a vx or a cx. That's why i got a cx, instead of a dx. I'd rather settle for a si or a vx...but both cars are way to rare. Go with the SI if not then just get the dx and suicide yourself.

What i did was Let my sister buy the Si hatch and i bought the Cx. IMO do what make You happy if boost is in your blood then boost it to it full potential but no matter where you go you'll be happy cause it your set-up.

Well here is something to think about. You wont be racing this car 24-7. First all the little things from the SI will help out in daily driving. The door panel pockets are very nice too have. Cruise control for long trips would be nice. Factory tach is just a little added bonus that the DX may or may not have. The 4 wheel disc brakes will be very helpful. Front and rear sway bars will help for the handling. Also tilt steering, (WHICH MY CX and VX did not have but the DX MAY) There are probably more things in pro's and there are some cons as well. But the major ones are the weight and weather or not you like having a sunroof. Maybe powersteering if you dont like that. But it all comes down to it being your choice.

I would try to find a cx hatch. I have an Si and Im looking for a CX cause when you have an allmotor dseries wheight is your first enemy to beat swapped cars. I never use the sunroof unless its raining and im planing to get window deflectors for the cx, the rear brakes can be swapped and better yet from an integra. The rest is bullshit

i have an si and i barely use the sunroof which the only real difference between the si and the other models, i would rather go with the dx because its lighter, better yet if you can get a cx.

If you dont like the weight of the si, then gut the bitch. Atleast you wont have to carry or drive lots of people. Si is way better IMO, the weight is a downside, but who cares, when your daily driving itll be a great help. Si's own!

personally, i would go with the Si cause i have one. But on the other hand, u do have a boosted teggy. ITs probablly already nice and another 3500 for it would be good.

My '93 doesn't, but i THINK 94-95's do...

BTW, I like all the stupid little stuff my Si has...but my old gutted cx with a ls was nice also...so I say it depends on what your set-up will be .
