Found an 18D1b motor DOHC
All right take it easy on me,,, Ima newbie,,,, went salvage yard diving in a wrecking yard found a 96 Acura integra coupe,,, It doesnt say Vtec anywhere on the valve cover,,, did they make a non vtec DOHC moto ??? If the bottom end is good could a GSR vtec head be upgraded to it????? I can get it for next to nothing,,,,,

could be a swap. prob an LS b18b (non vtec). Could be a GSR b18c1, maybe type R b18c5 (unlikely) check the stamp on the front of block on the left side where the trans. bolts up, below the valve cover. You can do LS VTEC theres write ups everywhere.

you more then likely have a ls in your car. engine code should be b18a1 or b18b1. yes you can put a vtec head on it, aka ls/vtec. there is ALOT of work to be done with a lsvtec such as a conversion kit, new ecu chipping/basemapping etc. until you learn whats what i reccomend holding off before taking on a project like this head on. just my .02
