Footrest for EG hatch?
In my 95 Accord EX Sedan I had a footrest. I know some people don't like them but I do. I just recently bought a 92 Civic CX hatchback and it doesn't have a footrest. I've seen some Civics with footrests. I was wondering if I can add an OEM Honda footrest to my Civic. Would one from another 92-95 Civic or Del Sol fit? TIA

Yes. Under your carpet there's this mat type thing with the holes for the footrest already outlined. Tear out that peice and make holes in the carpet where it should go. There should be a little holes in the floor pan for the footrest already.

Thanks for the replies.
Will one from a Del Sol fit the same as one from a Civic? The reason I ask is because I found a Del Sol one. If it will fit the same then I'll just buy this one instead of searching for one from another Civic. TIA

Re: Footrest for EG hatch? (TouringAccord)
ok, never mind. I went onto Majestic Honda and looked at the part number for the footrests. Del Sols have different part numbers than the Civics, and the footrest from a 92-95 Civic EX is the same as the one from a 92-95 Si incase anyone was wondering.
The footrest I found from a Del Sol was on eBay with a starting bid of like $10, on Majestic Honda they sell them for like $12. I'm just going to order mine from Honda. I should have just done this before posting this question, oh well. Thanks to everyone that replied though.

Yeah you can use the footrest from other civics. My 93 Civic has a foot rest in, so I dont know if I am lucky for having one or your unlucky cause everyone else does.

my 93 cx didnt come with one. I pulled one out of my del sol parts car and it bolted in with no problems. There are already pre threaded holes for it in the floor pan. I love my foot rest.

Thats how I feel. My left foot is uncomfortable because there isn't really anywhere to rest it. I think I'll just go order one from Honda for a 92-95 Civic.

yes, bolts right in. like what was said above, all you have to do is pull up the carpet, and the threaded holes and positioning holes are all right there. you just have to drill holes through your carpet. i love how similar the dc and eg chassis is!
