FOGGY WINDOWS
I dont know if its my car or if every other civic is like this but my rear windows fogs up like no other. i can have the car sit in a parking lot at night for 5 min. after having it run and it will fog up like a sheet of white paper. i tried cleaning the inside of the window with some no-name glass cleaner. i got a bunch of black residue on the paper towel. this didnt help the problem much. so im really down to try anything other then buying a new window. any help would be great.
thanks
thanks

Re: FOGGY WINDOWS (HeterHsan)
No offense but try washing it with an amonia bassed product. Windex makes a decent one. After a while a film builds up on there that fogs up quickly.

Re: (jethawk)
Hondas just fog easy, maybe pull off your door panels and make shure the plastic is still glued on. Sometimes people pull that off and dont put it on right and lots of moisture can get in that way.

Rain-X
Rain-X For Fog
I use both, I usually dont apply more than once a month in heavy weather, but I had one coat last 3 months this summer (rain-x) didnt need to use windshield wipers pretty much, and rain-x for fog pretty much eliminated fog (there were a few streaks because of ,y error in application only)
If anyone else gets mad at the fog and hard to see conditions in rain that hondas seem to have a problem with... this stuff is worth its weight in gold.

Re: (99CivicExCoupe)
When you're parking your car outside, the parts of your interior are reacting with the sunlight and releasing gasses that form that film on all your glass. Shampoo, rubbing alcohol, anything that kills the film of mold that's living on there... that'll do it. May have to apply it every week for a while.
Plus leave your windows cracked if you park outside and use a windshield visor if your car faces the sun and that outta do it from me GL TC

I do automotive glass replacement for a living and it's possible that your seal on the backglass has come loose. You could take it to a glass shop (not a dealer) and get them to R+R (remove and replace) your backglass and put it on new urethane, but you might need a new reveal molding that goes around the edge depending on how they cut it out. I would only do this as a last resort though. If a previous owner used rain-x or anything else on the glass, glass seems to haze up more when it's stopped being used. Maybe you had tint taken off but not the glue?
