Default flywheel type

i have a 94 honda civic cx with a 1.5 liter motor i was wondering what kind of flywheel it has. is it flat, or stepped, or does it have dowells? i need to know so i can figure out how much it is to get the flywheel ground down.

It is stepped, has dowels. You will have to press the dowels out or let the machine shop do it, but the charge like $5 a dowel. There is only three.

i have a CX also....and i wouldnt recomment wasting ANY money on that engine...or tranny...save up for a swap...i rode around stock untill i had enough money for a swap...

I think he just want's to replace the clutch and resurfacing the flywheel and that's a good thing . If not then save your money.

i have a chutch that is slipping so i am replacing it. i cant afford a swap with a kid on the way in june

Yeah, driving around witha slipping clutch saving money makes no sense. The info I gave you is correct. It's stepped and doweld. If you can get a hold of a press you will save yourself some money.
