Flywheel resurface

Default Flywheel resurface

i got del sol with 176k and i want to change the clutch, i already have the clutch and i dont have time to take off the flywheel go get it resurfaced, i know it might be bad to get it resurfaced with that many miles, i found a flywheel for cheap and the guy told me it doesnt need to be resurfaced what u guys think. look below

only took a local shop 3 hours to resurface my flywheel. that other flywheel looks clean but im not sure what to make of the scratches

It probably doesn't, but since you don't have it installed already it'll only take a couple hours and twenty bucks to avoid some trouble later. I say go ahead and get it resurfaced.

its ether i kill a day taking out tranny and my flywheel take it to shop to get it resurfaced, or get flywheel in picture above and see if its any good and i dont want to get it and then take it to shop to get it resurfaced, or just spend a day and spend less money on just getting my flywheel resurfaced

My advice would be to get it resurfaced. I've definately seen worse looking flywheels, but it just doesn't make any sense to put it in the way it is, think long term, not short term.

X2 it's not that expensive to get it done..the shop i took it to charge me $25 and it took them about 30 minutes to do it
