fluttering/whirring noise??
despite the loud *** injector tick i get i have yet another weird noise from my b16a2. it is kind of a fluttering noise at lower rpms and eventually becomes a whir. i can begin to hear it when i hold the rpms at about 3000 seems to be coming from the drivers side. but thats probably because im sititng on the drivers side. car runs fine, and did a valve adjustment yesterday. the sound is there whether im in neutral or moving in gear. any ideas? my drivers side axle is going out if that is even relevant to this problem. well thanks for any help in advance

Have someone rev the engine while you ispect it.
Sounds like something that reacts to eng. RPM, if that is the case, it would seem to me to be something rotating i.e. power steering, alternator, timing belt etc. Did you have any of your belts replaced recently-if so maybe time to re-adjust.
Is the car running O.K.--Vaccum leak
Also check your air intake silencer, its the thing at the front right hand side of your engine bay. Its there to reduce the "whirr' of the intake and I think it will also keep your engine from taking a big drink of water when you go through a deep puddle.
I think it would also be a good idea to check the entire intake system for leaks.
