Re: (Revolver)
Turns out, someone posted a site for FL
http://www.flsenate.gov/Statut...0.HTM
my Ticket, 316.610 is for unsafe equipment, and something that can cause harm to people, cop wrote down from statute, shes going down
not only is she wasting my time, her time, judges time, and county dollars, she can't even write the correct statute

Thats some good **** bro. Sucks how I just read this post now....
I just had a buddy of mine get a ticket for his exhaust here in Jacksonville. He ended up just paying for it (he came from cali and doesnt really know the laws around here yet, so he didnt want to fight it)
But the Cop stated any modified exhaust is NOW illegal in ALL of FL. This is such BS because I always see hicks in their 10 ft. high lifted trucks cruising down the beach with open header...you can even see their damn straight pipe and they are NEVER pulled over.
The stupidest thing was my friend had his seat belt un buckled but the cop let him off on that. Wouldnt you wanna give someone a ticket for not having a safety device fastened than some stupid sound ordinance thing...geez...(oh yah..he had his silencer in too...)

316.610 is a "fix-it" ticket often times used to cut someone a break (well they used to be cheaper here in Volusia Co but its not much of a break with the new fee schedule).
You COULD put a silencer in the muffler and present it to an Officer / Deputy Sheriff and they can sign the citation stating your muffler meets standards. Then take the signed citation to the clerk of courts and you pay a lower fine (here its $68.50 for the citation or $50 if you fix it - used to be $48.50 / $9)).

its 4$ to the cop that signs that its fixed, and 5$ to the courts, plus the 90$ silencer, I dont have the cash to pay the 70, especially not the 99$

Re: (Mistamike17)
sorry to bring this back from the dead....how did it go in court......just asking....i got a ticket for my exhaust on Wednesday......honestly i don't think their is a way around it....it just gives a reason for the cops to pull you over..and at that time they can nail you for other **** if they find anything.....some Florida cops are just dicks....bottom line...I'm just going to pay this ticket....none of my friends that have had tickets for the exhaust have won their case....Florida exhaust law sucks

Re: (dannydos)
Cant you guys just throw a stock on, have a cop sign it and go home put your other back on? Thats what i do, and my buddy. I havne't been nailed in a long time, just stay away from the areas that cops suck. Hell i drove all last summer with a side pipe, no cat. Don't ask me how i managed that drove with ear plugs in, wonder what others were thinking
