Flared fiberglass fenders for 92-95 civic h/b, coupe
hello all, just curious if anyone would be interested in these. they are basically stock replacement fenders, although flared. no vents/emblems/neon or stupidity like that, just a good quality fiberglass fender replacement.
after searching the internet and coming up empty handed in a search to provide a functional replacement fender without all the hype attached to it, i (and a friend) had these made to our specs. the fender is designed for Scca SPU and Street Mod classes. take a look, i would like to gather some information as whether or not people might be interested in them.
in a few weeks i plan to have these painted and installed on my personal car. i will post pics then. oh, please no flamers saying flares are gay etc, as these were made to be functional (15x8 wheeel with +27mm offset and wide *** hoosier doesn't event come close to fitting under a stock fender) not made for the "look". currently there is nothing for the back 1/4's, as i will cross that bridge when i come to it. hopefully some generous fender lip rolling/removal will do the trick....

hmm. not tooo bad. only reason I would have them is to run wider rim/tires with extended for race purposes.

not these, maybe something similar. these are custom made for a friend and myself, primarily to clear a big offset/race tire combo. i am not into the look, although i had them made without and crap vents or the like, because those really do look like ***...

so do you replace the rear 1/4 panels also? or do you put the "wide" fender onto the rear 1/4 panels?
And the fenders in the pictures are for what car? they don't looke like 92-95 civic fenders.

as stated in the original post, no rear 1/4's. i am confident i can fit my wheels in the back with some 1/4 panel lip massaging, so there is no mold setup for the rear.

YES, the fenders in the pic are for 92-95 civics. if you look close, it is basically a factory fender spec with a tasteful flare (sorry if it's not tizzite enough for ya... ) all made in a one piece fiberglass fender. again, functionality was the goal of this project, not show car looks.
on a side note, you drag guys might be interested, as they would clear a wider/taller slick on a more positive offset wheel.

I was also looking for something like the front fendors, so i could run a bigger tire in the front with out it sticking out to much.

no, sorry. no sedan fenders. i have a hatch, so the mold we made will only work for the coupe/hatch. sorry.
pricing is going to be approx $200 each.

not a problem. i am not a shop, and after exhausting the internet and other sources for a functional fender, i had my own made. to duplicate this feat, well, let's just say it is not cheap at all. at that price, i am barely making any $ off of it. it would be nice to recoop some money from the mold costs, but this will not be a full time bang out a ton of fenders business.

Ok i getcha now. I was thinking like a mass produced type of product, not a select few "one off" custom pieces.
In that case, such pricing would seem about right to me...

I like the idea... I would have to wait and see what they look like on the car... if you did the rear 1/4's I'd be very interested.

sorry, as stated above there are no plans for the rear 1/4's. my car is made for Street Modified, and in the Street Mod rules, the rear 1/4's must stay stock.
for all those who im'd me saying $200 a fender is too much, it is simple. do not buy them. i am barely making any $ off of the fenders, (if i sold 10 sets of fenders, i would have offset the cost of the mold 25%) and just wanted to see if anyone was at a standstill in their quest to find a flared fender with no rice qualities. i am not trying to make a killing here, but as i said custom mold costs are essentially in the $1200 range, and that is before you have any fenders to show for it. i will post pics when they arrive, as they are just finished, still in the fiberglass shop, for any of those who are serious interested.
oh, in reference to those others who say you can get a complete fiberglass front end for $500, then go for it. Street Mod does not allow that. i am building my car as close to the SM rules as possible, and the fenders are one of the few things that need to be done to get the appropriate tire under the car. cheers.
