Default Flamer Kit installation problem

Hi there,I have a 1997 honda civic 1.8 vti which I am having dificulty installing my flamer to. Everything is done,ie,spark plug in exhaust, switches etc. but am having problems locating which wire i have to snip to cut the spark for engine. I found several wires, which cutout the engine, but the idea of the switch is when it is pressed down,it temporarily cuts the spark allowing unburnt fuel to go through the exhaust, and when released, goes back to normal. but when the switch is pressed,it cuts the spark, but when released, the car seems to be going into safety mode and shuts down the engine. PLEASE HELP!

regards

KASH

I would imagine if you lost your spark for even for a second then your motor would throw a code and shut off (like it is). Your motor isnt that stupid that if it sees no spark to keep running and blow itself up, thats why its doing what its doing.

I would take it to the local ricer shop and have them finish the project for you. I mean better safe then sorry you know? Well unless if you like being blown up, then knock yourself out.

also, flame thrower kits won't work if you have a catalytic convertor.

96+ cars have OBD2 which senses when the engine has misfired (which is what you're trying to do). It won't let raw fuel go into the exhaust cuz it'll kill your catalytic converter. Happened to my buddy's Protege when his coil pack went dead, and it killed his O2 and his catalytic converter. Don't do it, your car is not made for it. If you want, you *could* put a fuel injector in your exhaust right at the tail pipe. But why?? I can't understand.

BTW, there are these gas flame kits, you shoot gas into your exhaust and it gives off diff't color flames depending on what gas you charge the bottle with. Pure 2F2F stYlez

just hard wire a switch to the coil and ignition or whatever makes the fuel go into the exaust.

maybe you should watch trucks more often (with stacey david)
