Default FITV differences between B7 and Z6..

Ok so when I got my Z6 recently the hose connecting to the front of the FITV had a bolt/clamp blocking it off, but me being as unghettofied as possible figured what the hell lemme hook this thing up right since i reused my B7 throttle body, i figured my FITV would be fine "since it always worked fine"... So i noticed the back of the FITV has an open port but when I started the car and drove it for an hour or so the port never leaked and everything was fine so i was assuming it would be ok like that... Well after about an hour on the highway my car starts overheating, i pull over an pop the hood and i see that rear port of the FITV was dripping an there was coolant all over rear firewall area... So I unplugged the hose from the front of the FITV, and the only thing i had was a 1/4 socket extension to stick in the hose, clamped it back up an continued my 1 1/2 hour drive with no problems...

Now onto the tricky part... I'm left with no remaining open ports so should I be alright just capping off the FITV since obviously something wasnt right thats why it leaked and my temp started to climb..?? I'm not tryna stick a bolt/clamp in there but I cant seem to find any high temp caps, so if anyone has any of their 2 cents to add, it'd be appreciated... Thanks...

Also, I checked the inside of my B7 TB and the bottom hole seems to be filled with some hard epoxy "i've owned the car for a year and have never noticed it"... The MAP on the Z6 was bad thats why i swapped TB's and used my firewall mounted MAP and since than its ran fine, but I guess I'm just lookin for a way to bypass the FITV by not even using it "not rerouting the hoses"...
