fitting started leaking after turbo install
hey just put a new turbo in and thought that I had everything running smooth (after a **** tone of work and a call to mase) but then I got up this morning to find a puddle of oil. this is where its coming from any ideas would be great sont have the much experience with earl and his fittings.

easy... u can do a couple different steps
1) use teflon on the fitting where it is leaking. Open it up, clean it out, and teflon it. If that doesnt solve it, check out # 2
2) buy a new fitting.

You could see from the picture that the oil isnt coming from where you circled but its coming above that part. Put a little bit of teflon and tighten it down good and your set.

You're not supposed to use Teflon on AN fittings. They're taper flared ends to seal when they're tightend. The fitting either isn't tightend all the way, or its just not installed correctly.

see O also was under the impression taht you dont use teflon. I tightened it. maybe I should tighten it some more. its not coming from where I circled that sucks. let me go check again. a new fitting?? what would make one need to be replaced?

my oil return line is pinched just a little do you think that it would hurt it that much?

kind of looks like your fitting is cross-threaded but not the best view of the fitting so teflon it or change it

well got it fixed. this thing wsa all my fault I losened it to get the dp in tight and I guess I forgot to tighten it. thanks for the help. Jon
