Default Fittin an EK hood in the back of an EK?

anyone know if its possible? somebody on CL is sellin some front end pieces for $100 but my EK is the only thing I have that has a chance of fitting them. If I put the back seats down would I be able to fit the hood in the back?

me and my bro drove from san diego to san fran hoodless to pick up a carbon hood for his hatch for a good deal. it might fit, but than again you still got to put the bumper and fenders in. try taking off your hood first and see if it fits haha

Measure the hood. Measure your hatch opening. I would think it would fit, put in at an angle with the seats down. You might have to drive with your knees but it seems possible.

The last time I bought a hood, I borrowed a friends CRV. If anything, try and borrow a vehicle the parts will fit in for sure.

Good luck!

no matter which way i turned it, it would not fit. it's too wide and i wasn't about to damage my car or the hood by trying to jam it in. IIRC it wasn't even close anyway so jamming it in wasnt really an option either.

Just drive without it lol and put it on when you get it. Just tape some bags to the back so you don't have this big *** hole.

Wait for good weather, drive there hoodless, install and your golden. Nothing wrong with driving without a hood, done it before.

Hey it does fit, when i bought my cf hood i was able to make it fit in the back it was super unconfortable but it fit. you have to open the passenger door all the way. fold the seat back all the way down. swing the hood in so the back of it ends up on top of the rear deck and let the seat back up so it holds the hood in place. its going to seat on the rear deck and the front seats. you are going to have to drive docking your head but it will fit. the place I bought it at was like 15 miles from my house and i got it there with out a problem. Hope this helps!!

oh it will fit, I had one in the back of my car. Bring pieces of fabric/foam with you to protect the corners.. just to be on the safe side.

It's not worth getting pulled over or getting decapitated for. Take your hood off and put it on there or borrow a friend's truck.

100% will not fit. Just drive hoodless or get a friend with a truck/suv. Or see if the guy has a truck or something to deliver it for a lil extra cash or a beer.

I want to know how you even managed to get it into the car (sedan) to begin with. The rear shock towers really limit how wide items can be that go through there.

It just does not seem like it's worth the trouble.

Take the hood off, drive there, put the other hood on, drive home.
