Default first test drive, disappointing results

Well I drove the new del Sol for the first time and I found a bit of a problem. Its an automatic and while driving around I noticed it shifts a bit rough when going from 1st to 2nd then the same with down shifting. I'll be performing a few drain and fills and need to know if buying some Lucas transmission fix will be beneficial or just a waste of money??

Thanks for any helpful replies

I wouldn't, save your money and auto to manual it. I would however see that there's sufficient oil in it.

Looking for a definitive answer on such a question..... Impossible my friend, just check the transmission fluid threads.

Well the fluid level is good and the color is nice and red. I've heard mixed results on the Lucas on other cars but never a Honda so I figured this would be the best place to ask for feed back.

Use this:

For the drain and refills and thereafter.

Shop around for best prices. I got it at Walmart for a few bucks a quart.

I just picked up a 95 civic coupe that's an automatic. Everything works perfect, save for the slightly rough shifting between 3rd and 4th. Records that came with the car show 2 drain and fills done a week apart about 20k miles ago and fluid color looked good but a little low. I picked up a bottle of the Lucas and added half of it after getting her nice and warmed up and wow what a difference. Can't even tell there was ever a problem. I'm just one opinion and while many may say it doesn't work, it did for me. It's an 11$ bottle that could solve your problems. Don't see how it could hurt as long as you don't over flow.
