Default first serious build and need a lil guidance

what are you guys paying to have engine rebuilt? (it's a ls if it matters)
also what are you guys paying for a full port and polish? any specific place that is sick? thanks for the info

Depending on what you call fully built and if its only labor or parts included you can expect to pay anywhere from 500 to 3000 for the short block alone. Head 1000-1500 if you want parts or no parts etc. Portflow for heads

x2. Sleeves alone will run you a grand, then you factor in bearings, rods, pistons, oil pump, crankshaft work etc etc. Its a pretty penny to have a motor built.

i rebuilt my jdm b16a and it was around 2k to rebuild it 100% stock. all the rods, pistons, bearings, rings and all that stuff is expensive. i used the rods i had w/ new [istons and had good cams i didnt have to replace but i had the head fully rebuilt along with block work and a micro polished crank and then all the gaskets and what not all added up.
