first impressions on new sir II jdm b16 longblock
keep in mind ive had a first gen b16 in my car for the past 4 years, so its not like im stepping up to a new sir II from the stock hatchback cx motor.
got in put in 2 weeks ago. havent really driven it past 70 yet. im breaking in my clutch, just hit the grand 500 mile mark today. i thought for sure my mileage would go down compared to my old motor, but i got gas today and shoot. 313 miles with less than 8 gallons. comes out to be about 39 mpg. thats a whole tank of mostly freeways driving and not going past 70, shifting religiously at 2700-3000.
as for power compared to my old block, it seems better, the new exedy organic clutch is like heaven compared to my old act 4 puck clutch. low end seems to be a bit better too, but thats because i just put a new carsound cat in, i had been running straight pipe for 4 years.
any questions feel free to ask guys!
