Finding the correct Brake pad HELP!
Ok like the topic says, I am currently working on upgrading brake pads. I have del sol 10.3" rotors up front it is on a 00 civic DX hatch. I have ordered hawk pads but they were either too small or too large.
I would like to know what the part number is for those of you that are runing the Hawk pads doesnt really matter which version. I am trying to run the HPS but I would like to know what the correct part numbers are too so that if I decide to go with a race pad later I will have the correct numbers.
Basically here are the numbers that I have tried thus far and been unsuccessfull:
From King Motorsports:
HWK HB209 HPS- too small
HWK HB275 HPS- two long length
If I could get the correct numbers so that I can call them and let them know which to send that would be very helpful. Thanks guys.
Oh yeah and incase you are wondering what the problem is, According to King motorsports 1. there is two pads that honda uses on their brakes.( dont know if this is true, but based on the problems very possible.) and 2. there is no exact match for my pad. They made me trace the backing of the current pad and send it back too them ( thought "what the hell") so any help that you could give me would be great. Thanks.

Re: Finding the correct Brake pad HELP! (Civichatch2k)
That sounds very shabby to me. Just get pads from a company that actually knows your application. I love Axxis Metalmaster and Ultimates. You can even get them on ebay! You can get them at Kragen for substantially more $. I think they're distributed by Beck Arnley.

Anyone else? And would you happen to have the part numbers for the pads that you are talking about?
