Default Finally got 1/4 times for my LS coupe

finally had the chance to run my car at Portland International Raceway last night. it wasn't that packed, i managed to get 8 runs in. my best run was 14.9.

R/T....200
60'.....2.376
330....6.335
1/8....9.662
MPH...73.91
1000..12.528
1/4....14.975
MPH...90.77

mods are as follows:
***96' LS motor in a 95' civic coupe***
-jdmsh!t 4-1 header w/2.5" collector
-buddy club spec-III exhaust
-onmipower testpipe
-ebay CAI w/KN filter
-exedy stage 1 clutch kit
-chipped pr4 ecu
-L-con traction bar (for some reason, my tires hit the bars when i turn to far to the left or right )

i know i can do better, because my 60' isn't that great...i still get a lot of wheel hop for some reason though.. i bought a traction bar, motor mount inserts, also an NRG torque damper. for some reason, i still get wheel hop...could it be my suspension? someone mention that if you have bad suspension, then it could cause it also. i'm just running on stock struts with dropzone coilovers. i also lowered the PSI of my tires to 33, but that didn't help much....my main goal right now, is just to get rid of the wheel hop...

so what do you guys think of the 1/4 time? i think it's a pretty good time.

BTW, my car just got broken into this morning around 11-12 at my ****** church!! they only took my cd player though...

well mine was dumped all the way too...i lifted it a good 2 - 2.5 inches

this was my own theory on the whole situation...when ur car is hella dumped ur shock has no travel space...and ur bottomed out with the shock casing...so when u launch the suspension, wheels, car, etc bounces cuz ur tires are tryin to get traction, with ur shock not being able to absorb movement it juss kinda bottoms out over and over...think about hittin a hammer on concrete and how it bounces off...thats like ur shockcasing to the top of the suspension thingy (sorry i dont remember names of everything)

lift it, im sure ull get rid of most of the wheel hop...if im wrong...then...uhh...sorry bro hahaha good luck

what tires and you can go lower on your psi about 25-22 but hell to drive on after so have a pump or some other to ride on after.

one reason i was pulling bad 60's is becasue i had shitty tires on top that i was going in to the bleach box with them gettign watter on them and creating bad traction.

I've done the same thing with my brother's mismatched Winter tires (B18C1 EG hatch, dumped) and pulled 2.2x's all night. Dumping the clutch is never the right way to launch. Ever. Feather it out from 3500-4500 depending on how good a driver you are (start low) and be sure to feather the 1-2 shift enough so that your dash doesn't shake itself to pieces. Wheelhop and wheelspin are lost traction and lost time.

If I can pull a 2.25, so can you.

i'm on the khumo 411s?? or 711s?? yeah, i was thinking about lowering my tire PSI to about 22, but didn't know if the track had a pump for me to use afterwards, so i just left it at 30 PSI...my next plans are to get new suspension setup (omnipower full coilovers). unless i find out that something else is causing me to wheel hop other then my suspension...
