The Final Word: Integra seats in a 92-92 hatch?
OK I searched both recent and archives. Recent had a page or two, archived had 5 pages. both for "eg integra seats." The reason I still ask, is because from every single thread I read, they all say different things! People say they go fine into a coupe, not into a hatch, but then there are people with hatches saying they went in perfectly.
I'm just talking about the rears here. I know that there are two hooks at the front of the seat that need to be altered, but some say there are gaps on the bench and the back-rest part is fine, and some say there are gaps on the back-rest, but the bench is fine.
so people mix and match like integra sedan rear seats into a hatch, with coupe backs or something.
what is the final word? pics?

Rears:
Coupe tops fit. (Coupe bottoms just really dont' fit, they're not wide enough and are barely deep enough, some people figure something out to make it look decent)
Sedan bottoms fit. (Sedan tops attach differently, some people attach them to the cargo cover and work it like that)
THE END.

Like he said the coupe seats dont fit perfect. Lots of gaps. I plan on getting my friend to fiberglass up some trim to comer in vinyl and finish it out.

it sounds like I'd be best off just selling these and trying to find civic hatch seats in black. Mine are blue vinyl. the blue is ugly, and the vinyl sucks, and they're torn in every place possible, hence my replacement

Heres how ITR seats fit in my 92 hatch.
The backrests fit in perfectly. The gap between the assrest and backrest is minimal hardly noticable when the assrest is possitioned correctly. There are, however, two large gaps on each side of the assrest. I bought some black suede and folded it and put it in the gaps, hardly noticable at all, looks great. The metal bent fingers on the oem hatch assrest are totally different from the itr assrest metal fingers. You must jerry rig this part either making or bending the metal fingers to fit in slots in the chassis. These pix were taken during the install. I will take new ones tomorrow now that I got them in.

Re: The Final Word: Integra seats in a 92-92 hatch? (ColdAccord)
I just put 2000 GSR leather into my '93 Si. The fronts went in perfectly. The backs went in too. The only problem I encountered was the rear hook in the back bottom of the GSR seats does not line up with hole for the bolt on the eg seats. The hooks in front went in fine. The width and depth is fine except a little space near the front corners. A little bit of non carpet area shows...nothing big though. The seats look stock except for that little gap in the front corners, but to be honest...it is really not a big deal unless you plan on showing your car.
One thing that you might want to keep in mind, and that I have seen, is that 2000 GSR seats are thicker than pre 2000 GSR seats. That may be the reason why I did not have any gap between the GSR backs and the bottoms. Remember to use the rear carpet from your eg. The holes line up perfectly...
This swap seriously took me about an hour to do...probably could have done it faster. I was kind of worried about the gap between the backs and bottoms because of what everyone had been saying...but I was pleasantly suprised when they went in perfectly.
My seats look A LOT better than those ITR seats.

I use to have RSX rear seats in my 92 Si hatch. They fit better then the Integra ones do. They are wider and deeper the the teggie ones. My brother has them in his 93 Si now and they still look bad ***. I will get some pics of the fitment.

Re: The Final Word: Integra seats in a 92-92 hatch? (Evil_Wizard)
word. well I got all black 95 gsr seats. I think I want to sell them though, I'm not feeling the gap. rsx seats would be nice, but they must be a shitload of money. I think the most economical thing I could do is to sell the gsr rears and buy civic rears, but did they even make civic rears in black?

Re: The Final Word: Integra seats in a 92-92 hatch? (ColdAccord)
i put del sol seats in my 92 hatch and i had to remove the runner off of my stock hatch seats and put them on the del sol seats cause the holes wouldn't line up with the cars holes.
that was just for some info with del sol seats if you would want to go with them instead of integra seats
anything is better than those crappy stock ones

if you like the idea of integra seats in a hatch enough you'll find a way to make it work. I think integra seats in a hatch looks tight.
