fiberglass out of the exhaust
my 98 civic is completely stock. its got 150,000 miles on it and the other day (i guess it is the glass pack) fiberglass strands started coming out of the muffler. it almost looks like human hair but it isnt. should i be worried. i havent noticed a difference in sound

Yeah, it is the packing coming loose. The only thing I would worry about is the packing clogging your cat altogether thus increasing back pressure. You will know when this happens, because it will feel like you are running on 2 cylinders.

if there is a glasspack before the cat then someone is a complete idiot for putting it there.
if its behind the cat (where it should be anyways) there is no way its gonna clog the cat.
