Default a few questions about 4x114 itr brake conversion

just searched up and found a lot of answers already. only a few left

i have a 92 dx hatch

what e-brake cable would work for the conversion?

would adding a 4x100 conversion spacer affect performace?

are these brakes a HUGE difference compared to 4x100 gsr rotors? i know the 5 lug itr ones make a big difference, even compared to the 4x114 itr

I believe you can use LS/GS/RS/GSR brake lines, IIRC.

And as for braking capability, I don't believe there's much difference between the 97-spec ITR brakes and USDM Integra brakes. They're both 10.3" rotors. I'm actually pretty sure you use Prelude rotors as replacements.

Also, why would you want to use a 4x100 spacer on a 4x114.3? Isn't the purpose of converting to 4x114.3 to use wheels with said bolt pattern?

brake lines? you mean e-brake cable right? or are they the same thing? haha

anyways, i know that the 98 spec has 1 inch upside on rotors on front and rear. so other than the 5 lug conversion, the 4x114 should be pretty similar to ls heh

I have a big concern with 4x114 is the chances of finding used rims. I don't buy new rims unless i get a good deal. I guess it shouldn't be too hard to look for them anyway because most silvia and base 2nd gen rx7 has the same bolt pattern, just way different offset.

Yeah, I meant cables. Sorry, I'm running low on sleep.

As for wheels, make sure you get one that the offset is ok enough to not eat the inside of your wheel well.

4x114 uses the same calipers as a 94+ teggy front or rear, the rotors are the same size and you have to redrill a 4x100 teggy rotor for a replacement or find somebody that pimps out parts for jdm teggys. So the braking is the same just a different bolt pattern. You can use 96 vtec prelude rotors up front and 5 lug type r calipers, mill the t23 caliper brakes and have the same sized front rotors as a 5lug type r. I do not know if you can use prelude rotors and 5 lug type r calipers on the rear but I will know by monday

Having driven on the 96 ITR brakes for a few years now, don't bother. Just get a normal *** 4x100 setup off of an Integra and save yourself the headaches of trying to find new rotors. Having them re-drilled sucks.
