A few b20 questions
ok... some of you may have read some of my olders posts... but i am wanting to get a b20 and keep it non-vtec and boost the **** outta it... im just trying to figure out for one which tranny to use... and 2 who makes low comp. pistons for it... as for the tranny i have heard that the LS tranny with the longer gearing is best for a turbo application... but then ive also been told screw the LS tranny go CTR or ITR... i want to know you guys opinions on this.. i want to get everything that i need figured out before i dive into this head first... as for the pistons... i need the lowest comp i can find i wanna run between 15-25lbs so i need the lowest comp.. and also who makes good STRONG rods for a B20... well any insight into the b20Turbo will be greatly appreciated

Re: A few b20 questions (fowler)
since the b20's head is the LS head i can use all the valve train that is for the LS... correct.. like the crower turbo cams.. and the crower dual springs and retainers...

Re: A few b20 questions (95DelSolSI)
another b20 question is can i use b18a/b pistons?? i have had a hard time finding b20 pistons?? JE makes soe but they are for the b20/vtec applications... endyn does make pistons for the b20 but the comp ratio isnt as low as i would like.

i suggest gsr tranny because it has the best overall gearing......not too long....not too short
any forged piston will work
eagle rods are cheap and effective
i hope you have good tuning and a standalone for pushing over 10 lbs
you may want to look into sleeving from golden eagle since the 700 job will save you a headache in the future

JE can custom make any piston you want. Tell them your application and what compression you want and they can make them for you. Should be like $500 for a set with rings.
