A few 93 civic ex questions
i just bought it a few weeks ago, its d16z6 5 speed, well I have a bare Y8 manifold I want to put on, I was wondering if there is a write-up on it or what I would need to do (sensors wise) do i have to grind anything or cap anything off? and sometimes when i come out of 1st or 2nd gear, i will be accelerating and it will just die down, kind of bogg out and I will have to let off the gas for a moment to drive it again, does anyone have any ideas?

Re: A few 93 civic ex questions
anyone? or should these questions not have been brought up?
I just changed the plugs and wires still does the bogg a bit.
also has anyone opened their trunk after a rainy day and seen a PUDDLE of water laying there? just happened, I dont see any holes, does the sunroof drain that way? or should I keep looking for holes? THANK U!

Re: A few 93 civic ex questions
I'm pretty sure the y8 manifold is a straight swap, not 100% so don't quote me on that. And the puddle in your trunk... Happens to everyone. I've been trying to fix this problem in my last 2 95 ex's and I have yet to ever fix it, although alot of people claim the sunroof drains are clogged. As far as your car bogging im not sure. Search though, you'd be amazed at what you'd find.

For the IAT I just put it into the intake arm. You don't have to weld a bung on or drill and JB weld it in like I've seen a few writeups.

Re: A few 93 civic ex questions
Thanks, on the back of my Y8 manny there is no holes for the IACV, it has an outline or "option" for one, do I just drill some holes for one? Also why is this?

but what about the IACV, I know now that the Y8 manny is off a automatic, I guess I need to drill holes in place of where they need to be, what should I use "BIT" wise.

Re: A few 93 civic ex questions
i put new plugs and wires, oil change and cleaned out the vtec solenoid, so far.
my brothers 94 ex has rotors and he bought it off a old lady, only owner. So.... he was surprised when we saw them yesterday on his car.

Re: A few 93 civic ex questions
These ones have the ABS option
92 only on ex sedan
93 on EX sedan,
94 SI, EX coupe and sedan, LX.
95 EX coupe and sedan and LX
Keep in mind, this was an option, not all of these models have it.

Re: A few 93 civic ex questions
^for sure easier on u and the wallet, and no the civic ex won't bolt up w.o modifications cuz theres wiring and sensors involved with abs

Re: A few 93 civic ex questions
As for the brakes. It's just a lot easier to find integra rear disc setups for sale/junk yard. if you really want to do a civic one, prepair to wait to find one and possibly pay just because it was on an "ABS civic".
