Default Feels like I lose vtec for a couple seconds. Help?

So today i was driving and there was a infinity g35 infront of me with exhuast and a Skyline badge. Now I know I am not nearly as quick as this car but he knows I am behind him so he goes ahead and floors it. I do the same and in first everything works fine. I shift into second and spin the tires and then around 6300 it feels like I have lost vtec for a slpit second and then I regain it. It was wierd. Any suggestions?

Change your oil . It's most likely dirty. Give that a try and see if it goes away. Check electrical connections too.

Oil pressure is to low for VTEC to engage, your prolly around a quart low.
