You don't use a feeler gauge, you use a straight edge.

LOL... sorry, I'm so used to dealing with.... less experienced folks, that I sometimes forget there are people on here who do have some..

You are looking for less than 0.05mm warpage.

Anything between 0.05mm and .2mm needs to be resurfaced, and anything above .2mm is straight jacked y0!

Anyway hope that helps.

Oh, and just in case you don't have a metric set lying around:

0.05mm = 0.002 inches
0.20mm = 0.008 inches

My source is a Honda FSM for a 95 Civic series. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll do my best to help.

LOL... Cool. Glad it wasn't warped.

We usually send heads to a machine shop to get surfaced even if they aren't warped just to get a nice clean mating surface... Shouldn't cost much and it's worth it IMO.

Cool, glad somebody has a price. Mine cost me a sixpack of MGD, so that doesn't really translate well..

yeah same here but , if i dont have to why waste $20 bucks for nothing if everything is still good? And I would have to get a thicker headgasket, I think?

Im just saying thats a ball park price for it, getting a thincker h/g depends on how much you get it milled.
