fast popping sound when i turn??

fast popping sound when i turn??
when i trun my car it makes a fast popping sound then stops when i straighten out would this be a broken CV joint and could it cause the axle to snap at the CV joint?? and not sheer off in the tranny

replace the entire axle?? cause that **** happened to me last night..at the track when i was fixing to run...so there for i am gettin new bseries axles 200 shipped...

thats weird i just saw your SIG you ran a 14.616@93 - i ran a 15.090@92 with a 2.44 60ft...guess i have major traction problems - what was your 60ft?

itr tranny wow! - i have the 1st gen b16a cable tranny - i also have every bolt on on my b16 possible...guess thats why huh

I have a B16a Cable tranny with a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. And i Broke my axle shaft in half at the drag strip. And usually i go though 2 driver side axles a month. They make the same noise that you are describing....Also a little FYI....Autozone has lifetime warranty on axles for hondas...And they cost about $60 to $70 bucks after core..and they dont care if they are broken in half...

its the CV usually they break on the outer joint if they break off. just replace it.
with the right tool an axel can be done in under 30 minutes....

My friends 1997 Honda Civic Sedan does the same thing. However it's not really a popping sound it's more of a scraping sound whenever he turns. And we have never been able to figure out what's making the noise.

The same thing happened to me. Whenever i turned right it made a popping sound. To me it was more like a tick but I know what your taslking about. I took it to the shop and paid like $220 for a new axle.
