Default Eg with b16 e test problems.

Hi I have a 1993 civic si coupe with an ef B16 in it, I cant get it to pass e test because i cant retard the distributer at all because its hitting on the v tec solenoid. Is an ef solenoid different? how can I fix this problem? let me know thanks

do you have any pics that you can post of this?? I haven't ever seen the vtec solenoid being different on the obd0 b16's from the obd1 and obd2 engines.

I bought the car for cheap but its pretty hacked, Welded cut motor mount and a cable tranny from an ef, Im pretty sure its an obd 0 distributor, The v tec solenoid plug in's are faceing towards the passenger side and the distributor is fully forward and is hitting the v tec plug in so i cant turn it back, ill be home this weekend and try and get som pictures.
