Default Fan and A/C causes idle to flucuate..help..

Hey guys. I have a stock 00 civic ex coupe. Whenever i turn on the A/c and im driving and I come to a stop or engage the clutch, my rpms drop down to like less than 100 and the car shakes, and then they jump back up to about 500. Also, my car will normally idle at 500, but I think when the fan is coming on my idle is holding at a constant 100, or sometimes like 80 and causing viabration. Do you guys suggest I just turn my idle up to about 800-900 and see if that helps?? Any other suggestions what could be causing this.

Mike

i've seen that before on some cars, if it's not cutting off i would say it's o.k. as for your idle usually being around 500, that seems to be alittle low. adjust it up to 800-900. it might take care of your a/c problem as well.
