Default The in-famous ek sideskirts on eg..

Alright i searched a bit and read a few different things.

I want to know which EK sideskirts i need for my eg coupe? The ek hatch or ek coupe? Also will 2000 Civic SI sideskirts fit on my eg coupe, i found a pair of them for cheap..?

Thanks in advance!

I am currently searching for a set as well and have not heard if it makes a diffrence if it comes off of a coupe or a hatch but I can only assume that they are all the same.

All '96-'00 Civic hatch and coupe sideskirts are exactly the same as far as construction goes. Some are painted, but they're still the same design. They're the same part number if they're the same color even.

Sedan sideskirts are the same length but where the coupe and hatch sideskirts stop along the top, the sedan ones go further. Basically think of it this way... If you took coupe/hatch sideskirts and put them on a sedan (all 6th gens), you'd have a gap in which things could fall into once you open the rear doors. Does that make sense?

So you can use any of them, though you might need to trim more on the top of the sedan skirts.

This.

Oh, and you drive an EJ1 (EX) or EJ2 (DX), not an EG coupe.

my boy put ek sideskirts on a eg and a del sol. Cutting was required on the sol obviously. it shouldnt be a big deal just get the side skirts and if you have to cut them...then cut them! still looks hot

Saying EG coupe gets the point across, but it is downright incorrect. May not make a difference to you, but I hold this in the same regard as when people incorrectly use "your, you're,their, there, they're". Yeah ok, we know what you mean...but for your own sake get it right and don't look like an uneducated fool.

If by "EK" you mean "USDM Civic hatchback sold as 1996-2000 models", then yes. I already stated that in my previous post though.

If you want to learn more about chassis codes, there's a thread in Tech/Misc. It was posted by myself, so you can look in my posted threads for it if you're interested.
