Re: Fake or real video of civic acceleration?? (crx378)
maybe hes got like 400 hp and 13" vx wheels with stock tires
keep in mind the gauge cluster is kmh not mph, the video is kinda odd so i would be suprised if it was real or fake, i could kind of maybe lean towards real but whatever

not all blow of valves are from fast and the furious, or the fagget in his moms evo reving doing down the strip. I can hear tire spin, and the cluster is in km/h...
doubt its fake, but reguardless this thread has no tech, and is gdd.

i realize that its kmh and you might not allways hear a bov
but a car that fast you ought to be able to hear the turbo spool.
it seemed like it was revving pretty free like it was off the ground.
I heard something that sounded like wheel hop but didnt hear any screech.
coulda been the motor mounts maybe?
i dunno im usually not one to call bs but something seems suspect to me.
edit:nah *** that watch the begining when he shifted to second it instantly jumped from 20-60 maybe this video was edited and sped up and audio of a burnout added

yea im calling it a real video but it was just speed up....you can hear a voice at the very begaining thats all high pitched...and also you can hear wind whenever he's rolling or w/e it is he's doing....but who knows...could be on jackstands but i doubt it..
edit* i just read all the comments on the video and he said it was a EG hatch...but than i looked at his profile and it was an ek hatch...unless he has the same set-up in both cars....but it dont look to shabby going down the track in a real speed video though...who knows?

Fake! Listen to how quiet the car is when he launches at 6500 rpms. And also note that his tach needle is going past 9500 rpms, to about where 10000 rpms should be on the gauge. Look at that tachometer jumping around while his speed is decelerating. Definatley some fakeness to that video. Going to 10000 rpms on 10psi of boost on a b16, with Im guessing basically stock internals, I dont know about that.

Fake as ****.
Not shaking enough - didn't jerk enough during shifts (if you wind it out to 9k then power shift - it's gonna jerk, I don't care how good u claim you are) - then to boot it off there was no drop-off. It was definitely upgraded because he had a 2 step or rev limiter at like 6800 RPM, so he definitely had a tuned ECU. Though that's fake as hell. There's no way it'd take off like that and still have traction.
Then let's not forget the most obvious fact that when he turned the wheel the scenery didn't change .
for people like that (although it looked bad-*** as hell :-P)

No, he was feathering the clutch to make it look like he was burning out.
