Default That fake Mugen twin loop muffler?

Who makes it?

And does anyone here have one?

If so how's it sound and are your running a resonator?

also....how much should it cost me....just the muffler itself?

Thanks!

I believe a parent company of Konig makes the exhaust now.

"Mozart" which Konig bought out last year. I believe they do a double TIG weld on their knockoff "Twin" Mugen. There were too many complaints on the original design falling apart at the welds within a year or so.

Expect to spend about $200.00 for the axleback + shipping.

I think the tip on that Mozart muffler looks better than the Mugen muffler's tip. The Mozart one looks closer to stock.

can you read the title?

he's asking for a fake mugen exhaust, not the real deal.

Yeah sorry buddy!

But look at it this way I could spend $600 on the real Mugen axle back,so that every thinks I'm the 'coolest' or I could just get a cheap fake one that works just about the same save save myself $400.

Nope, no fitment problems at all ........... Quiet as stock muffler, even more quiet than ES-Oval muffler, Under high RPM's you can hear some "roar".

...and at least you'll be able to carry a conversation while driving also !

I just put a lion in the back of my car to hear the roar. Get more respect that way too.

Over the years on the board, there have been many here (can't recall who) that roll on "fake" Mugen Twin Loops. Here is my summary of their reviews:

- Very happy with the performace, sound, etc. Not loud, but quiet stock like.
- Have not heard any construction/build problems: so the post above is new to me.
- Most paid in the mid $300 range, but I have heard prices have come down to the $200 range.
- One guy had problems fitting into his G3 Integra, with the tip touching his bumper. I'm guessing the hangers must have gotten bent during shipping. Have not heard any problems from Civic guys or other Integra guys. Just him.

Would I get it? Yes. Not because I want a "fake" Mugen, but more so because I want the most quiet stainless steel muff to replace my stock muff (actually stock 01 Si on 97 Lx). Call me rice if you wish, as long as my ears are happy.

My friend has it on his 99 hatchback. It fit perfectly and I think it sounds better than my Apexi WS. He got it for $200 on ebay.

Another shot .............. I recommended him to EBay to get the Konig "Twin Loop", he seems pretty happy with end results (I belive he had to use shorter hangers due to his being to long ... see pics)

I can understand buying something that is a look-a-like product, if it's showy. If it's under the car, why try to buy something that is a replica? Why even bother?

damn...knockoff exhausts...it's bad enough we got the rims knocked off...i would honestly save for the real twin loop...sorry to sound like a jerk...i think you should really condsider the real twin loop...i think it looks nicer and probably a lot better in quality in the long run.

Hytech also makes a twin loop muffler - don't know about price, build quality, etc, but based on the fact that it's Hytech, should be of good quality.

I've got one on my 96 hatch (mozart) and it fits pretty good, although its about 1 cm off from being perfectly aligned with the bumper cutout. Mine hugs the bumper closer than the pic above, so i dunno what's the deal with that install or muffler. Pretty quiet too. So far 6 months, no rust signs. I mainly hear it under slight throttle. I paid $200 i think off of ebay. Happy so far.
