Default Fake Mugen Strut Bar

Hi there everyone. I was looking around ebay today for some suspension items when I ran aross this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...255
It says it comes with 1 Front upper ,1 front lower Tie, 1 rear Upper and 1 Rear Lower tie strut bar. Just wanted to know what some peoples opinion was on it.

I also saw this fake mugen strut bar http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...69668 It looks like it would be pretty sturdy any opinions?

Thanks,
Dan

Yeah I thought it looked kinda flimsy too but it's a good price for the kit.

None of the bars even look remotely like a Mugen bar.

THIS is a fake mugen bar

try to stay away from three piece strut bars...they offer pivot points, which you don't want. one piece strut bars are much more effective.

I'm defidently not getting the first one. I was just looking around for cheaper options cause I can't see a point in paying over a $100 for some of the name brand ones (yes I know lot's of time was spent on R&D)

There was one strut bar I really like I think it was Cusco or Comptech? or something like that. But it was kinda triangle shaped and looked like it attached to the firewall. I'll try and find a pic.

Cheers,
Dan

I was looking at the cheapo tower bars on ebay. Apparently the type-r replica ones are "supposed" to be half way decent.

Wow that Carbing one is kinda pricey but very very nice. Anyone have any experience with this one or the Benen?

Cheers,
Dan

i was looking into those also, the 4 set i would touch, cause i dont want those tie bars to be actual important parts. but the front strut and rear strut (the one that goes in the hatch i believe) is what im looking at. for 25-35$ pff who cares!

The Mugen replica sucks ***. I tried a friends one and the bolts moves so it does nothing. I tightened them down super tight and did some hard driving. When I checked the bolts the moved alot.

I wouldn't get it.

hmm mine didn't move, quility looks ok, but it was alittle twisted, or my frame is twisted, because it needed pressed down in order to get it bolted into place. might be beenaficial if i had good shocks, springs, camber kit, lower, tiebars, but i don;t and i have no idea how many miles are on my suspension. blew my headgasket so im rebuilding a z6 so until its finished i have no money for suspension.
