riiight.

Im not asking what KBB lists. The insurance rep told me it's 'fair market value'. not KBB price. She explained that 'fair market value' means how much I could buy another 2k ebp Si with 70k miles for. And I looked at some ads, and alot of the si's for sale, are higher than the KBB price.

thats why I'm asking ppl how much.

So, what do you think is "Fair Market Value" for a blue 2000 Si with 70k miles?

Definitely stand your ground. My ins. company low balled me 10,900 last year after my FBP 2000 Si got stolen. I printed out ads 50 miles from my zip code and gave them to the insurance rep. They came back with an offer of 12,500 and I had 69K.

Get ads from anything and make sure they average out high. Get them to make a higher offer.

My 100th POST! YEAH!

I think it's been stated man.... go look up what a car as identical to yours would go for.and thats generally what you could look at getting.

$1.18.

You will find out pretty quick when they write you a check for something you didnt ask for, what THEY think your car is worth.

Just because some fucktard has been selling his Si for the last 3 years at 13k doesn't mean anyone is ever going to buy it. You will most likely end up getting a check for something very close to kbb.

Yea...then they will go even lower. Kinda hard to barter with them.

You: 10K
Them: 8K
You: 10k
Them: 3k, take it or leave it.

i asked the insurance rep, and she said it's not always the KBB price.

thats why i asked here. now when you say KBB price, do you mean private party? or retail value?

My insurance company just totaled my car and they use http://WWW.NADA.COM. They took what a dealer would sell it for brand new 100%, then compared mine to a brand new one. I got 94% of a new one and thats how much I got back. This just happened and they told me this is how they usually do it. Any questions PM me.
