Failed Sensor

Failed Sensor
My knock sensor or the wires relating to it just went out today.
I know it's not good to drive with out the sensor, but how bad is it to drive with it out of commission for a few days??
(It's possibly been partially out for a few months, I had the CEL before but my dad deleted the code.)
Anyone know a place to get an OEM cheaper than $160?

Re: Failed Sensor
youll be fine as long as you dont have any mechanical problems or arnt using the wrong octane fuel
cars have ran for years with out them its just a percaution that automakers put on the vehicle to minimize emissions and engine damage under a "knock" condition

Re: Failed Sensor
I've driven without a knock sensor for a week, and nothing happen, other than CEL being on. Honda knock sensors are fragile and weak, I've broken many knock sensor when swapping motors, or changing out intake manifold, i got tired of it and just got my ecu chipped without a knock sensor to save me money, next time if i were to break one.
