Default factory rear bushing replacement

Can any one tell me how to replace my factory rear bushing? If not any ideas on what website I can go that shows me pictures or gives me instructions on how to? I'd like to avoid paying a auto-shop to do it for me and also I like to learn and fix things myself on my car. It gives me that satisfaction that I did it myself. I'm sure most of you out there understand. Please let me know. Thank you very very much in advance for you help!

you probaly talking about the trailing arm bushings.. seriously they are not hard to do, but there's alot of mechanics out there that don't know how to do them.... If your a beginner on working on cars, I wouldn't suggest you to do it.. and don't forget the alignment afterwards.

Well, I've replaced axles on my civic and starters, but that's all the experience I have. I usually go to a shop and watch them do it so I learn by watching them for a distance. But Honda is asking about $500 to do the job and I was hoping to save some $$ by doing it myself but I do not know what is all involved in doing the job right.

If trailing arm bushing they cost me $60 ea at local dealer and $40 total to have pressed in a local small town hot rod shop. I pulled the trailing arms as descibed in my Haynes book. Use some PB Catalyst on all the bolts , both sides and let them sit for an hour before getting after them. Anti sieze on bolts and torque to spec. on reassembly and get it realined. There's a tool that costs about $120 to $200 that lets you do it without removing the trailing arm and maybe no realinment required. Search for "Trailing Arm" and somebody on HT is probably trying to sell one of those tools. Or try Ebay I saw the tool there after I did mine off the car of course.

It looks like for $168.47 you can get a new trailing arm with bushing from here.

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...R+ARM

You might call before ordering to verify the bushing is there.

Every one thank you very much for all your responses. It sound like I have to have the right tools to do the job. I guess for safety reasons I'll Honda do it for me and I'll just watch if I can on how they do it so I know how next time. Again thanks for all your time and input on this.

Safety reasons?

Just jack it up, put a stand under the lower control arm to body mounting point, leave jack connected to jack point, slide wheel on its side under body edge. Even if it falls (it won't) it'll stop before it crushes you.

But it's your money and skin. You do what you think is best.
