hey guys i just got a low miles F20b SOHC Vtec engine for free i want to install it into my 2000 EK, but im not sure what i need, do i need a new ecu if so which one, also where could i find engine mounts for it? it needs a new tranny as well but im not sure what ones will fit and are geared good from the factory. lastly i want to put a DOHC Vtec cylinder head on it but i'm not sure if it's possible i was thinking an H22 head would fit but im not sure. could someone please help me?

don't do it.
sell the engine & buy a b series motor.
swapping that f20b sohc will be too much work and money for the little power you will gain.

x2 thats gunna be a total waste of time just for 148hp you get much more and spend a lot less not to metion it will be a lot easier to do a gsr swap or any b hell it be easier to a k swap the mm for that are easy to get.dont bother just my 2

u can use h series mounts, h series tranny and u will need a accord vtec ecu. why dont ppl just answer the question(s) that is asked.

thanks for answering lol, but if i were to sell it how much do you think i could get for it? plus can i use an H series DOHC head?

for price look on engine sites and u cant put a dohc on it cause of the head bolts are in different areas

agree don't do it. B18C is the best with out so much damage or mods done to the car.

or u can do a b20 vtec for less and get tons of torque

alright thanks 4 the advice i think i will try to sell it cuz my buddies b18 powered "cintegra" pretty much convinced me to do b18

would an older b series engine fit into my 2000 EK such as a B16 or B18 tht would fit in an EG? such as a 94-97 GSR B18

Yes, you would just have to change the alternator, dizzy, injectors and such...

So how you explain the G23? It's the F23 block which is a Single Cam and an H22 Head... Then they also have the K20 type S pistons in them to really make em run .

there is also an F2D kit, so there are less fab issues to deal with. a chipped p28 should run it just fine.

how would i pass NYS Inspection with an OBD1 set up if i used a 94 GSR motor would i have 2 put the old ECU in for inspection
