is this a smart of you saying don't buy it? and to be honest, i actaully don't know whats wrong with it. is it bad welding, cause i dont know much about welding.
or is it the rusts?

Re: f1spec or hytech replica header? (spintboy)
thats not rust thats HAZ oxidation at the end of the gasoues cloud, the puddles are spaced so ******* far. those beads are bullshit......
my STICK welds are tighter than those tungsten welds
in a good weld you want penetration, no under cutting, even LEGS, a nice face, and a decent throat.
you want to form your puddles like a roll of dimes laid out, nice tight and even, now inspect those welds again

ya i hate the fact that some companies dismiss that poor excuse for welding as alright becuasee some people dont know what to look for in a quality weld....they just know hey its been welded so it must be good

Have you yet to read of a instance where the welds on this header have failed? This is not a sarcastic question, it's a legitimate inquiry, since this particular header (under various brand names) has been out for quite a while now, with many units sold.

That's a bit of a generalisation, don't you think?

Another comment like that and I'm gonna ban you
The welds on an exhaust header don't have to be that great on the outside. Everyone wants one of those stainless steel tig welded exhaust manifolds. But a mig welded carbon steel header would be just as sufficient.

nothing wrong with that welding.but it is just another 4-2-1 designed header to me... gives u a better ground clearance.. performace wise will be about the same

It isn't, and that's why this header has become so popular. Unlike most inexpensive, commercially available headers that are designed to essentially "bolt on", these headers were built without the constraint of fitting with the stock exhaust and cat length. They are therefore longer overall, and their performance is superior to that of the traditional designs.
