You need to convert your iacv wiring...all d16y7 and all auto d16y8's are 3 wire

Throttle adjustment issue? I know on some cars the ECU will pull back if it thinks the throttle is closed (sensor position) but the engine is running too fast (getting too much air), which causes repetitive surging as the cycle occurs repeatedly.

ok that makes some sense if it matters my engine is idleing up not down as in it goes from about 1100-1400 and what about the iacv wire i think it was converted to a 2 wire to fit the d15b manifold, alos just to throw in there i have a b18 60mm throttle body

I know essentially nothing about honda specific wiring (just picked one up myself) so I can't help you there or with the throttle body. If what I said were going on, the ECU would be pulling fuel at 1400 RPM to slow the engine down and it would repeatedly speed back up once it dropped below the threshold. I'm not sure if it works this way, but I know for a fact this can happen on some cars.

Ok, if the wiring is right, then: if it only does it on warm up its the fitv, if all the time then iacv, clean/replace them. For the y8 manifold person, make sure your intake mani and tb gaskets are all good. Also, with later year y8 mani's they had air holes in them (maybe around the runners) but those need to be plugged.

Let me repeat myself, you need a civic ex engine harness or you need to repin the harness at the ecu. the y7 harness is made for a 3wire iacv

i also put a 2 wire clip on but im using a p28 ecu not y8 and a obd2b-obd1 conversion on my y7 original harness harness so how will this work for my setup?

I also heard that with big injectors its nearly impossible to get a steady idle im running 450's is this a possibility or BS

thanks for all your help
