extra connector??

Default extra connector??

today, i removed driver side under dash panel to fix something,
and i fount long wireharness that was taped around. i removed the tape and found bunch of connector fittings.. can someone tell me what these are for?..

i bought this car used, so don't know much about the history of previous...
this is 1996 civic dx hatch

loooks like the connector to the auto shift box... the car was probably auto- manual swapped

hm...
but my vin number show 2HGEJ63XXXXXXX

which means it was originally stick shift. cuz i know 7th digit with "3" is for stick, and "4"
is for auto.

could it be something else??

Post additional pictures that show the colors of the wires on the rear sides of the connectors. Does/did your car have an alarm system?

no it doesn't have alarm system .. but maybe in the past? (don't know history)
but this car did front conversion 96 to 00 civic with power windows, and it looked like power mirror too. but don't have the switch for it nor cant find connector for it..

i'll take more pics of it shortly

They are your service connectors. The one with two wires is the one you jumper to read the check engine light. The others are for OBD scanners and other diagnostics I am guessing.

Nope. The service connector is on the passenger side above the ECU.

And none of the connectors looks like the OBD2 data link connector (DLC).

Looks like you were right. The large connector is C433 (largest connector in your picture). The 00 Civic wire harness must be from a Civic with an automatic transmission.

This 4-wire connector is C435 - Gear position light and park pin switch (A/T related).

Second picture in post #9:
This is 2-wire connector C434 - shift lock solenoid (A/T related).

Last two pictures in post #9:
This is 8-wire connector C431 - interlock control unit (A/T related).
