extending o2 sensor wire??

Default extending o2 sensor wire??

i have a 98 Hx nd the CAT is supposed to b attached 2 my headers.. but the previous owner put ex headers wit stock piping after that so right now i have no CAT i want to put a ex CAT below the car.... so that i can pass inspection.. my question is how can i extend the wires for that sensor that goes into the cat? wat kind of wires do i need???

1.You only have one header
2.Cut wire
3.Splice new wire (16-18 gauge whatever works for you)
4.Happy pass inspection day

You pretty much answered you own question in your post, if you do not know how to lengthen a wire or where to get standard copper wire don't try this yourself. Its very simple.

That's what I did when I needed to extend my o2 sensor.

Also, if you dont like cutting, Rywire.com makes plug-in extensions for allot of 02 sensor legnth problems

Yeah extension is always a choice but I am frugal. I always gotta do it myself, makes me feel much more accomplished.

ok that extension is awsome! but i think im gonna need more than one lol ima measure it soon n start this mini project so i can get this dam inspection!! lol

I have similar problem but with a B16 OBD2 Swap. The B16 wiring harness has only 1 o2 sensor plug and the second o2 sensor plugged into the main dash harness. Is there a plug for the second o2 sensor in the dx dash harness if both o2 sensors were in the dx engine wiring harness?
