I have been told the exhaust doesn't matter much. It's like this: Spark (ignition source) needs to ignite fuel, or fuel vapor. With no liquid fuel, or no fuel-rich air, your point is moot. It's just kinda loud and smelly, and I have had cars FEEL less powerful with exhaust restriction or breakage. But BITOG says it's not relevant to the engine running like it does. It ran Perfect before the trip, too. Better than Hondas..

It ate a plug... so it's not running perfect like it used to.

If anyone has some actual diagnostic advice I might be able to attempt on it? Cool. If this has turned into some kind of "bash/bait" thread, and I'm not on that level anymore where it will work.. then lock this one up after I post the video of the **** running with a new engine (Civic.)

It's very easy to talk down to some total stranger's ride on the Net. Trucks like that? .. Full leather, tough, rugged. Old school Chevy.. 3/4 350. Great to keep. WAS running great. Then I found a plug with no electrode. Brings me to where I am.

About to go deliver my Civic radiator

As I understand it, a re-pin is part of the job and it should have functioning VTEC.

I'm standing here, spinning the back tires. All good in this heated garage. It's about halfway... car is up in the air..

Though, he DID show me my messed up wires. Told me it's gonna ultimately be a little more than fo fiddy.

Also.. the Y8 had a stripped hole for the VC, so, it's gotta be cleared. I feel "I know all about that."
