Default EXHAUSTS: custom vs branded

hey guys,
Im from New Zealand, I have a 98 SiR, and about to upgrade the stock exhaust system. The only mods i've done to my car is the intake and lowered springs. In New Zealand branded exhausts are really expensive and hard to obtain. So instead we get custom exhausts made.. Since you guys are the Honda heads that know heaaps!! im wondering what you would suggest for a guy with a hatch on the other side of the world..
I want a deep tone, something that pronounces the vtec!!

So yeah, if you guys could suggest anything, or give any tips and info it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

do you have any plans for your car in future as in turbo'in? if so i would just recommand getting custom becuz your gonna change again...but if your gonna stick with one brand for a long time or forever i would go with an high dollar due to looks and quaility

You couldnt just order one off ebay or a web site and have them ship it to you? One way or another you are going to need some sort of muffler, the pipes you can have made without a problem.

hey thanks for the comments!
A local garage here said he can do a mandrel bent 2.25" system, with a custom n1 style tip and custom 4-2-1 headers. This entire system (excluding the tip) is going to made from mild steel... does this sound ok? what about the sound? too loud?

Yeah i've been searching ebay, pretty cheap catbacks - but the shipping is crazy and you might as well just get it done here. And im not really planning to turbo it in the future.

thanks guys. keep the comments comming!

No muffler? just a tip? it will be hella loud. You could order a muffler and a cat(if you have emissions) other wise just straight pipe will sound like ****.

Any exhaust shop in fl would do a complete from the header mandrel bent for around 100 or less.
