Exhaust Smoke / Fuel when cold
Hey guys. I'm running a B16 with a cold air, greddy sp2 exhaust, exedy clutch and fidanza flywheel. I have a problem where I get slight, white exhaust smoke when the motor is cold.
This happens at anything above 3000 rpm, and doesn't appear to occur once the motor is warmed up. Also, if I rev it out a bit (to around 4000), I get what appears to be fuel droplets in the exhaust (resulting in a spatter of residue on the ground behind the car.)
It seems to me that it might be a valve problem. I'm not sure, though. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Exhaust Smoke / Fuel when cold (Castor)
Check your cylinder head you could have a leak. White exhaust usually come from burning something other than fuel.

It's normal condensation.

Again, most likely condensation. It can come out as black sometimes from the soot in the exhaust. If it smells like fuel, then you'll have a problem.

a little white smoke is normal when the motor is cold.

I'll join that club. I think mine might be alittle worst 'cause I'm running a chipped p28 and I haven't tuned it yet. I'd rather stick it under my pillow and hope the ecu fairy trades me for a stock one.

I'm assuming since the motor you got hasent been driven in a long time...(depending on the milage on ur B16a)
it often tends to do that when cold specially if you didnt do the regular maint on it before the swap...check compression other then that umm what kind of FUEL do you use?
