Hello, I just put a cat back aftermarket exhaust system on my 99 Civic with the D16Y8 engine. About two weeks after putting it on I had a check engine light come on and I had it checked to reveil a code of P1457, which is an evap problem. Then after that I have noticed that there is a large amount of black smoke coming from the exhuast. I was wondering if any one else has had these problems before, what could be causing these problems, are they connected, and how do i fix them. Thank you.

probably one of the solenoids on your charcoal canister.that or a hose is disconnected on the cansiter.

it ended up being the return line to the gas tank. thanks
