Default Exhaust Question???

Plz dont flame me for this i am just straped for cash right now and need an exhaust badly (don't have one on the car right now). So i need to know if this is safe to do my plan is to run a pipe strait back from the cat towards the back of the car and then at the end just com up at an angle.(like the apexi n1) The only problems that i think i might have with this are ground clearance and heating up the gas tank but i had an idea to keep the gas tank from getting to hot what i wanted to do was wrap the pipe under it in heat wrap and make a custom heat sheild but i want to know if this will still heat up the gas tank to much

thanks for the help and please don't flame a poor guy for trying

why not just go to an exhaust shop and have a custom job done. At most shops it would be no more than 150 for custom piping, and then you don't have to worry about custom heat shields and heat wrap. You would still need to buy a muffler though.

i'd say get a stock exhaust and when you get the money buy a catback.
