Default Exhaust question.

I have a apexi exhaust on my si right now, it measures about 42" from the tip to the gasket. And it doesn't stick out past my bumper.

I also have a GReddy exhaust at my house measuring 42" and that either wouldn't stick out past my bumper.

I want to get the GReddy exhaust extended and the hangars moved to fit my car right and to stick out past the bumper.

Is this something I can take to a exhaust shop and have them extend it and move the hangars?

I called 2 shops and they act like they have no idea what I talking about -_-

just ask for 3'' of pipe to be put in and for the hanger to be moved "here" mark it with permanent marker. don't get why it needs to stick out tho.

What model Apexi and Greddy? Are they direct bolt on axlebacks, and what application? Are you the original owner of them? Do you know any more info on them?

"I want to get the GReddy exhaust extended and the hangars moved to fit my car right and to stick out past the bumper."

Then just tell them that
(greddy axleback in photo is an example)
-Extend the piping on the axleback
-Move the hangers down to accommodate the amount of piping extended
-and it'll bring it from not hanging out of the bumper
-to hanging out of the bumper

To be honest, i'm confused on what you're talking about too, photos would be nice. Photos of what you're working with now, and what you want it to look like.

I don't get why you'd want the exhaust to stick out past the bumper? IMO it looks stupid and is pretty useless UNLESS you have it boosted and it's been melting the bumper a little? Non the less, just take it to a good exhaust shop and just show them what you are looking to get done, it really shouln't cost you more than like $50 on the high side (depending on where you live) to have them do this for you.
