exhaust question
Hi, i have a 93 civic with a b16a
in my county there are no emissions laws and no smog tests so i was wondering..
could i run a straight pipe from my header all the way back to a muffler...with some custom bends and welds....i weld so its no problem

it's not based on county. . it's state regulations that set the standards.. there not set by county. . .

you can do that, but like guys here say "car won't go any faster"...
oh, btw, and you will loose hearing...no big deal!

You're gonna need earplugs.
When I bought my car it had a no-name 4-1 header, gutted cat, and straight pipe with a glasspack in place of the resonator. Most obnoxious thing I've ever heard, it was embarrassing to drive.
As for performance, I doubt it did much to help.

leave the cat on. you get no benefits from running a test pipe unless you're boosted or have a serious na setup.

what the hell? no they dont. back pressure is the last thing you want.

gutting the stock cat is worse than a test pipe or high flow cat. you now have a hollow space with lots of turbulence.
