where do you guys take your cars to get exhaust work done? i have a test pipe, and its causing me to to feel sick from the fumes. i just want to have a CAT welded on.
also, does any one know why my rpm's go up when i pump my brakes? that is all.

Re: exhaust question (error)
The RPM rises when you pump the brakes because it is letting more air into the intake. Each time you press the brakes it gulps a bit of air from the brake booster.

Re: exhaust question (error)
If you weld the cat to the ends of your test pipe, the total length should be the same, except if you flare the ends to slip fit.

Re: exhaust question (f1z1c)
ok let me explain my shitty exhaust...
the header connects to some mandrel tubing with a flange and extends to the muffler. the end. if i put a catyletic converter on i will have to shorten the mandrel tubing.
if i were to DIY, what do i use to cut the tubing and check for exhaust leaks?
