Exhaust Question...
Not entirely sure if this has been covered... But please excuse my ignorance if it has.
My goal for my 1994 Civic EX is for it to be much less loud. Right now I have Megan 4-2-1 Headers, a heat shielded intake system that we built (Filter rests directly over the stock airbox opening is)... And not to mention we took the muffler off
It had a nasty leak from the wreck, almost not connected at all, and it was making a nice raspy noise... So two bolts and a little muscling later, it sounded much better.
Better... But not GOOD... I am afraid it is bringing unwanted attention to me... Quite the contrary of every other Civic in town I might add.
But now I am looking into mufflers, and I seriously dont want one poking out the back of the car... I'm trying to make the car look stock as possible (I'm not real big on Flash, but more for Dash) so I'm trying to figure out the best muffler that hides itself.
I've heard of a Magnaflow that hides anywhere in the exhaust system, leaving nothing but 2.5" pipe sticking out the back... Which is exactly what I am looking for.
Hard part is, trying to track this part down... Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do?
Thanks in advance,
-Wes

Re: Exhaust Question... (ZedEx)
I have DC 4-1 headers, GS-R cat, 2.25 piping mounted to a Dynomax Muffler painted flat black. It gets raspy but definately quiet when driving normal.

Apex WS is nice and quiet and sounds really good when ur on the throttle. paint the muffler black and it'll look pretty much stock with a bigger tip. seen it on a few eg and ek's and looks really nice.
if $$ fits, MUGEN TL for sure!!! love mine...and fits perfectly to the rear bumper. looks stock too..it's great!!!

Re: Exhaust Question... (94ls)
And a Mugen TL runs about what? Arm + First Born Son + Shipping and Handling?
But seriously, how much would that muffler run me?

Re: Exhaust Question... (ZedEx)
lol... it is pretty pricey but my Mugen TL cost me $680 from http://www.inlinefour.com great site if you haven't seen it. Search around, you might find one used. I will however say that's just for the rear section only. If you wanna get a mid section, you need to get a b pipe custom made. I got custom made mandrel bent piping to match the 60mm rear section.
as i stated before, the apex WS is a real nice quiet exhaust and cheaper too. or you can ck out the RSR exmag. a bit more $$ than the WS but still cheaper than the Mugen. I just have my love for Mugen.

Re: Exhaust Question... (94ls)
Yea I'd have love for Mugen too... If I wasn't so damn poor
Thanks for the information, it is a big help. But I think I'll stick to the $70 Magnaflow... Much cheaper, and I've seen the results first hand.
Much appreciated though...
