Exhaust Question~Opinions Please
Okay my license is suspended until May for speeding out of state, so i've got my car parked and i've been wanting to get some things done to it now that im saving insurance money. I want to do my exhaust .. .but im not really into going real fast anymore. I want my car to sound nice and deep instead of loud and ricey, and i definatly want to make sure my car passes emmissions inspection. I purchased a twin loop muffler from x3racing.com and an obx high flow cat. First question is should i just get my old pipes replaced and install the new cat and muffler? Second, is will the new cat cause me to fail emissions, and would it just be better to get all new pipes and just get the muffler installed? My car is a 96 civic ex btw if you dont feel like reading my sig. TIA!

leave the old cat on until emissions then install the obx high flow.
install the twin loop that shouldnt effect your emissions/inspections test. a twin loop is just a stock replacment performance muffler.
you should be fine. but wait to install the high flow cat.

Re: (97spooncivic)
If you have stock piping get a shop to custom fab you new piping. Depending on what you want to do with the car later you can either go with a 3" exhaust now for a beast turbo setup later, or just go with a nice 2 - 2.25" size. If the shop uses crush bends get the piping a little bigger as the bends will be smaller in diameter than the straight bends. Mandrel bends just get the size you want.
And I totally agree with the above statement.
